Brass wire mesh is made up of 70% copper and 30% zinc. The most commonly available brass woven wire mesh is called "270 yellow brass" and is made up of approximately 65% copper and 35% zinc. "260 high brass" is also popular in the mesh industry and is made up of 70% copper and 30% zinc.
